Not a science fair. A cross-school frontier technology showcase for Metro Vancouver's next generation of STEM leaders — hosted at the smallest secondary school in Burnaby.
TEDx meets a hackathon.
This is not a science fair.
Students from secondary schools across Metro Vancouver research and build a project in an emerging technology field in the weeks before the event. On Feb 1, they bring it to Cariboo Hill and present it — to peers, to educators, to the technology professionals shaping the fields they're entering.
Prizes are awarded across categories. But the prize isn't the point. The point is the room: 175 of the most curious young people in the region, plus the industry that wants to meet them.

Rewriting the biological code to address hereditary disease, food security, and synthetic biology.
Lipid Nanoparticles

Solid-State Batteries
Material science pushing energy density, safety, and charging speed beyond lithium-ion limits.
Artificial Intelligence
Building specialized models, agents, and tooling that reason — not just pattern-match.

Exploring quantum primitives, novel architectures, and the substrates of future compute.

Connection is

Cariboo Hill is the smallest secondary school in Burnaby. This event is designed to change that — to make it the recognized hub of student-led innovation in the city, and to give Metro Vancouver's future STEM leaders a place to find each other.
Competition is a component. Community and learning are the point. We're building the bridges — between schools, between students and industry, between today's classrooms and the technologies that will define tomorrow's careers.

Register
Apply as an individual or in a team of up to four. Pick a field, commit to a question.
Build
Spend the weeks before the summit researching, prototyping, and writing. Mentor support along the way.
Showcase
Arrive at Cariboo Hill on Feb 1. Set up your station, present to peers and a panel of industry judges.
Connect
Awards, panels, and a room full of people working on the same things you are. The point of all of this.
